What AAA Approved Auto Repair Means
Founded in 1902, the American Automobile Association has been a leading advocate for safely and security of all travelers. It is North America’s largest motoring and leisure travel organization, with more than 60 million members.
Approved Auto Repair is a AAA member benefit built to point drivers toward pre-screened, reputable shops. Facilities that carry the designation sign agreements to provide reliable, high-quality service performed by ASE-certified or manufacturer-certified technicians, and to meet industry standards on every repair they perform.
How a Shop Earns AAA Approval
Getting approved isn’t a formality. AAA representatives visit the shop in person, survey the business, and poll actual customers about their satisfaction, and a shop needs a 94% satisfaction rating or higher just to be considered. From there, AAA tours the facility to check its condition and confirm modern equipment is in use, then interviews the technicians directly to verify that Master Technicians are on staff and that every repair area the shop performs is covered by ASE-certified technicians. AAA also runs a credibility check on the business itself, confirming it’s ethical and trustworthy and auditing for proper liability insurance.
